Forest Easter Basket
This basket is perfect for all those nature loving, outdoorsy kids. Before you start building it, you will need some:
• Brown wooden basket
• Brown and green Easter grass or paper shred
• Green and orange construction paper
• Plastic, chocolate or hard boiled eggs
• Animal shaped cookies (sweet or salty)
• A naturally looking plush rabbit
• Butterflies and ladybugs 3-D stickers (optional)
Now we are all set to start building.
1. Get the shredded paper and place the brown paper on the bottom of the basket, representing the soil. Take a handful of the green Easter grass and place it on top of the brown base to represent the grass. Now, start decorating.
2. You can place the stuffed bunny in the middle, as the centerpiece of the basket, or towards the back as the supporting element.
3. Start placing the eggs all around the rabbit. For a more natural look, stay away from bright colored eggs, although it is all right if that is what you have handy.
4. Next, start arranging the animal cookies. Maybe place them as if they were peeking from the eggs.
5. From the green and orange construction paper, make some "carrots" so that you put all around the Easter bunny. Cut long triangles from the orange paper for the carrot, and for the leaves cut a small rectangle that you will shred at one and then tape it to the carrot base. Use one or many, based on what your basket needs.
6. Last but not least, stick a ladybug and some butterflies to the handle of the basket, if it has one, or to the side, just to give it a more outdoorsy look.
We are all set with our nature’s lover forest Easter basket. It is perfect for celebrating spring and everything coming to life at Easter time.
Farm Easter Basket
This basket is full of color and fun. It brings the same liveliness that spring brings, which makes it the perfect craft for Easter. For this basket you will need:
• Small or Medium basket
• Green and yellow Easter grass or paper shred
• Plastic, chocolate or hard boiled eggs
• 4 -5 fuzzy plush chicks or baby ducks figurines
• Twizzlers or gummy worms (optional)
• Flower 3-D stickers or colorful ribbon (optional)
Let’s start building this lively basket:
1. Mix in the yellow and green paper shred. Your goal is to have a good mix that will simulate hay and grass, just like we find in farms. Carefully place the mix inside the basket so that it is almost filled up with the Easter grass.
2. Grab the plush chicks or ducks and place them on your grass and hay mix. Let your creativity go wild. You can arrange them in a line, or make a shape out of them, or randomly set them in.
3. Next get the eggs and put them all around the basket and next to the baby ducks figurines. If you want to spare some eggs shells, you can give it a more authentic look by putting them on the head of the chicks or right next to them.
4. For an extra spice, you can put some cut up Twizzlers or gummy worms next to the chicks, as if the little ones are ready to eat. The kids will love that, as of course it means there is more candy for them!
5. Lastly, decorate the basket with some colorful flower stickers, or wrap a small bow around the basket’s handle.
That’s all it takes to make this amazing farm Easter basket. This is one time when putting all your eggs and chicks in one basket pays off. Get ready for lots of fun this Easter with these easy to make and fun to make Easter baskets. They are surely going to become an Easter tradition for your family.
