It's unbelievable how everything changes around the holiday season. For some reason, everybody starts to look cheerful and joyful, especially towards the end of November, right around Thanksgiving. That is no wonder, since Thanksgiving is the time when we get together with our loved ones and we give thanks for all the great things that happened during the year. So Thanksgiving pretty much sets the tone for the beginning of the happy holiday season.

With all that being said though, Thanksgiving can bring some frustration as well. Especially if you are the hostess for the night. Not only do you have to think about dinner, but you also have to think about decorating and arranging your home for the occasion. And although it is fun, it does get to a point where you wonder: what else can you do this year to make the ambiance even better? I'll tell you my secret: use little stuffed animals to decorate your home and the dinner table. Whether you live in an apartment or a house, these tips will work like a charm!

The main idea here is to use the right colors. The best atmosphere can be created by bringing fall colors such as browns, different oranges, rusty reds, golds and others to your Thanksgiving day. So, think about all the animals that naturally have these colors. Take their toy counterparts and there you have it: the perfect home décor for Thanksgiving. Therefore look for stuffed foxes, stuffed bunnies, plush chipmunks, stuffed moose, stuffed squirrels, just to name a few. Then, start getting creative!

Decorating Your Home

Get a stuffed fox and place it on your couch. It will add a nice rusty red fall color to the room that will brighten up the entire area. On a coffee table, or next to a lamp, you can place some acorns and a cute plush squirrel or a plush chipmunk. Find a toy that looks natural to get a better decorating result. Although you can still keep your usual turkey and pumpkin decorations, you can bring more fall cheer by adding stuffed animals to your table arrangement. For those of you who like to decorate outside your door, here is another idea. Take your ordinary autumn wreath and place a little stuffed bunny on it, as if it was on a swing. You can use any other plush animal that you like or that you think it would work best with your theme. You can even have the stuffed toy hold a welcome sign. That will surely make your guests feel special.
