Let's discover together what plush toys represent in the lives of three particular groups: kids, teenagers and adults.
Kid's Symbols
Toys represent the biggest joy in a kid's life. No matter how many they have they can never get enough and they always want more. It is like women and shoes, some of us could say. Amongst the pile of toys, stuffed animals have a very special place. They have that one of a kind feature that brings an automatic smile on any child's face. Their fluffy appearance and soft touch blend so well with their innocent personality. Moreover, stuffed animals are the best companion for a child at night. These cuddly toys are great to hug and to chase all the bad dreams away. What is more, plush animals are becoming very "fashionable" for little girls to have as well. Many girls nowadays place naturally looking plush cats or plush dogs in their little purses and carry them all over, just like fashionable women carry their small pets around. So, stuffed animals are a symbol of innocence, of happiness and even of style.
Teenager's Symbols
Although teenagers are no longer at an age where they play with toys, some teenage girls have more stuffed animals than when they had when they were very young. For a teenage girl her stuffed animals are her confidants. Her teddy bears are the ones she hugs when she goes to sleep with her secret crush in mind. Plush animals are that special toy that makes them feel loved remembering how amazing they felt when their boyfriend gave them that cute little plush dolphin because dolphins are her favorite animals. Usually, stuffed animals are a symbol of love.
Teenage boys also have quite a few stuffed animals. Usually boys keep them as it reminds them of some brave thing they did. It is the stuffed tiger they received winning a sports game or the huge stuffed lion they won at the boardwalk for actually hitting the baseball right on target. They are a symbol of pride and honor.
Adult's Symbols
Last, but not least, there are many adults who enjoy having stuffed animals around. Most of them use stuffed animals as decoration. Adults usually look for naturally looking stuffed animals or plush toy figurines that would embellish their homes or vacation home and make it look more exotic. There are quite a few adults who beautify their hallways and entrances by adding stuffed lions, black bears or even plush dogs as part of the decoration. It helps them give some life to the place and also bring a unique touch. For adults, stuffed animals usually represent more of a collectible. There are those who collect them, decorate with them and some very few who still keep stuffed toys from their childhood out of a nostalgic feelings. Sometimes an old teddy bear still carries a meaning even after 20 years.
This sums it all up. Stuffed animals do carry many meanings and symbols. They are the kind of toy and gift that lives on forever. Kids can never get enough of them, teenagers and adults get attached to them due to what they remind them of and sometimes stuffed animals can even be used as a great fashion statement or for some unique decoration.
