How to Build Your Very Own Puppet Show
If the bad weather outside is keeping you from doing outdoors activities with your family, here is an idea for an at-home educational activity which will keep your kids away from the TV: build a puppet show for them! Choose a short story, such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, or any other favorite and start building your stage. You do not need any particular skills or items to build a phenomenal puppet show. For the characters you can use stuffed animals, teddy bears in the case of our Goldilocks story, and dolls. You can even dress them up with some of your own accessories, such as hats, jewelry, glasses to make them look more authentic. Props are easy to improvise as well, by thinking outside the box a little and imagining how a simple foam glass can become a chair or a stool, for example.
